Being Spontaneous

What a wonderful, fun-filled, eventful weekend!  We so enjoyed our visit with all of the grandparents and Miss Raz and Jason.  How lucky we are to have such a loving family who'll travel for hours on end to spend birthdays with the boys and put up with my crazy games and ideas!

And what amazing kids I have! Charlie was such a sport all weekend.  So patient and sweet!  He had an absolute blast at Chase's party and loved seeing all of his grandparents.  He's still carrying his new crane around everywhere he goes - even to bed!

And sweet baby Chase... I felt so bad for him.  It was his big weekend but he was so sick and miserable.  He's usually so happy and sweet and energetic and inquisitive.  He just felt downright rotten.  Poor baby.  He still wasn't himself today either.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

After everyone left this morning, Mike and I weren't quite sure what to do.  It was such a beautiful day, so we didn't want to stay inside, but we also hadn't planned anything else to do either.  So, at the last minute, we decided to pack a lunch and head to the Skybrook playground.  What fun!  We had a great time at our spontaneous picnic.  Charlie enjoyed climbing on the playground, swinging and sliding.  And Chase enjoyed chewing bark mulch and walking around aimlessly.  Sometimes the best laid plans aren't actually planned at all.  Right?

Oh, and to top it all off, Tony won the race.  What a great day!
