Check Putt-Putt Off the Summer Bucket List!

As I mentioned, this year I created a Summer Bucket List so that we'd be sure to take full advantage of all that summer has to offer. (Click here to read the original post about our 2013 Summer Bucket List.) Putt-putt is one of the items we wanted to tackle, as neither Arning Bros had ever experienced it. So, while we were at the beach, Mike and I decided to take the boys on their first mini golf adventure.

They did quite well at first. Both Charlie and Chase were gung-ho, swinging the club in every direction and inching the ball to the hole until it finally went in. But, after the ninth hole, neither one of them really understood why it was taking so long. I believe 18 holes was a bit much for them. Regardless, we had a great time and now we can check putt-putt off of the bucket list.

Here are a few pictures of the Arning Bros at mini golf.

What great focus and intensity shown by Mr. Charlie Arning.

Chase was much more willing to take direction than Charlie.

Chase is still working his his form.

So's Charlie.

Mama played too.
Did she win?
That's not important.
Next subject.

Charlie has the best smile, don't you think?

What cuties!

We survived putt-putt!

Fun was had by all!
Onto the next adventure!

2013 Arning Family Beach Trip - Day 2

Arning Family Beach Trip - Day 2: Yes, we're only on day two. Something is wrong with me. I take way too many photos. What can I say? It's a sickness.

Anyway, here are a few photos from day two of our glorious beach vacation. (I'm ready to go back!)

Chase is ready to take on the beach... and so is dump truck.

Poor Mike had to carry everything.
(Actually, we got smart this year and bought a beach cart.
It made things MUCH easier this year.)

And, they're off!

Chase absolutely loved the water this year.
I guess not having pneumonia helped.

Wondering what the boys are smiling about?

Because they're about to get mounds of water dumped on their heads!

I love this photo. They are sitting identically! Too cool!

My absolute favorite photo from this year's trip.
I love these two guys!

Don't they just look like they're the best of buds?

Adorable.

I had to get in on the action.
(Yes, I went on the beach trip too!)

This was at Harbor Town where we spent the afternoon/evening.
(The blue lips are from blue ice cream.)
Day three coming soon!

Game On!

I discovered a new game that I can play with the boys called "Buck, Buck, Moose." I knew they would enjoy it, but I had no idea how much Chase would get into it. I got such a kick out of playing with Chase that I had to grab my FLIP camera and record it.

This boy is competitive! I love it! (I have no idea where he gets it from.)

My favorite part is the end when Chase gets mad at me. So funny!

Next time you're in town, ask Chase to play "Buck, Buck, Moose" with you. Just make sure your reflexes are quick!
