Easter Fun, Preschool Style!

Yesterday, Mike and I joined Charlie at school for an Easter egg hunt and picnic. What fun! And, it was a beautiful day to boot. Charlie's favorite part was eating cookies for dessert and, of course, hunting for Easter eggs.

I would also like to say that their class is so lucky because they have such amazing teachers! Mrs. Yascur and Mrs. Mundy are so loving, kind and creative! What a joy it's been to be in their class this year.

Here are several pictures from our fun day at preschool. And, if you'll allow me, I took photos of the entire class, so I've also posted some of my favorite pictures of Charlie's classmates. I kinda like how they turned out. Beep! Beep! (That's me, tooting my own horn...)

I will say that I had to shoot in full sun, which doesn't exactly make for the best photographs, but when your subject matter is this cute, you're sill able to get some great pics!

Enjoy!

I like this picture because he's dragging his Easter basket behind him.
I think that's funny! Plus, you can see his name on the basket.
Too cute.

How appropriate. Charlie riding in a car.

Ah! It's Mama! She DOES exist!

Mike took this photo. Didn't he do a good job?

And, now, here are the photos of Charlie's classmates:

Sweet Lexi. Isn't she beautiful?

Sreekha is such a cutie too! I think this photo is adorable.

I love this picture of Mrs. Mundy...

This is Izzy. She's a doll!

And Grayson. I love the innocent look on his face.

Lexi adores her Mama, Jessica.

This is Charlie's buddy, Lincoln. He has an awesome smile.

Another one of Grayson. He has one of the best faces to shoot!

Doesn't Mrs. Mundy look amazing!
So, there you have it. I hope you enjoyed photos from our Easter Fun Day, Preschool Style!

One Fine Day...

It's another beautiful day in North Carolina and we're taking full advantage of it. Can't you tell?

First, we had a snack on the deck, then we played outside. (I'd like to thank the Huntersville Fire Department for their impromptu visit.)

I think this photo is funny.
Doesn't it look like we dared Chase to eat something horrible?

And you know I love this photo. Pure joy!

Candid photos are the best. What a cutie!

I have no idea what he's saying, but Charlie's obviously very excited to be outside!

I wonder how long he's going to play with this car.
It's been a favorite for years now!

I always seem to get pictures of the boys looking off to the right.
What's that about?

I wish he had his eyes open, but this is still a cute photo.

Lucky us! A fire truck visited the neighborhood to check the fire hydrants.
That provided us with a good 30 minutes of entertainment!

Can't you just see him saying "Cheese?"

Eat my dust!

Chase LOVES to swing. It's so funny though, because
most of the time he looks like he's going to be sick!

Charlie's become quite the climber!

Swinging... in true monkey fashion.

Making Lightning McQueen Proud

We had a breakthrough today! Charlie actually DROVE his racecar! I'm so proud of him! He wouldn't even go NEAR the car for months after his first attempt at driving the No. 95 landed him in the neighbor's bushes.

(Just to refresh your memory, here's video of that first try...)

But, today, he was able to not only drive the car, but also steer it and bring it to a stop on his own... without the help of any foliage! Yippee!

Check it out!

Let's go racin' boys!

There's My Race Car!

So, we were watching the race yesterday and Charlie practically flipped out when he saw "his" race car on TV. (Obviously, Charlie has several No. 14 cars that he loves to play with so he thinks that Uncle Tony drives "his" cars.)

He was even more excited when he saw that Uncle Tony was "leading that people!" (Yes, we need to work on our grammar a bit.)

Anyway, I love this video because of Charlie's total excitement, but also because you get a glimpse into what it's like to live with NoChase. You'll see him streak across the background toward the end of the video. Classic NoChase - risking life and limb to do something he knows he isn't supposed to do.

And, the reason NoChase isn't wearing pants? Because I was tired and it wasn't a battle worth fighting. (Imagine trying to put a diaper on a Sumo wrestler...)

Oh, and you also get to see how two crazed monkey toddlers have trashed my house by the end of the day. Joy.

Ok. Enough rambling. Enjoy!

Ready for His Close-Up

Charlie has pictures at school today, so we dressed him in his Spring finest. What a big boy he is! He's ready for his close-up.

CHEESE!

I think Chase was feeling a little left out.

But, Charlie made him feel better with a big kiki!
How sweet!

No Particular Reason

I have no particular reason for posting this blog other than the fact that I took a couple of cute pictures of the boys today. That's it. Nothing more.

Enjoy!

Doesn't he look a bit mischievous?

Isn't this a sweet photo?

I like how the light is bouncing off of Charlie's hair.

Look who else is starting to love trucks! It's true!

But more than trucks, Chase LOVES books.
(Of course, this book is about trucks, so there you go!)

Charlie was excited to tell me that he just went to the potty.
It's the little things in life, isn't it?
