The good news is that Chase will have Mrs. Yascur next year, so I do have at least two more years with the wonderful teachers at StoneBridge. That makes me happy! Chase will flourish there. I just know it.
And speaking of Chase, he finished the year at Hickory Grove in their "Moms Morning Out" class. His teacher held a "graduation" for the toddlers, as next year they all go to preschool. (Seriously. How many times can one person graduate?)
Anyway, Chase had a wonderful year in school. He learned the alphabet, numbers 1-10, lots of songs and even "Little Boy Blue." He is well prepared for preschool!
With school come and gone and the craziness of the end of year put to bed, we can now focus on doing nothing but playing all summer long. I can't wait! I'm tired of having so many commitments. I've pledged to just take one day at a time and see how it unfolds. I know these next few weeks will fly by, so I'm going to try to slow it down and enjoy it as much as possible. I think we've gotten off to a great start, as we already have a great tan going (yes, we're using 50+ sunscreen daily!), been to the pool four times, made homemade popsicles, eaten snow cones and even had a bout with poison ivy.
Ahh... summer!
Here are several pictures from our end of year programs at Hickory Grove and StoneBridge.
Enjoy!
This is Chase with his buddy, Jackson. We carpooled with Jackson all year. Chase and Jackson were the teacher's favorites. No kidding.

Typical Chase with his cute facial expressions.
Unfortunately, I don't know the names of these two little girls, but Chase looks a little nervous. It's hard being such a ladies man.

This was the teacher gift that we gave this year. Aren't they cute? The card says "Thank you for helping Charlie bloom." (And thank you, Pinterest, for the idea!)

Doesn't Charlie look handsome? He's ready for the end of year program at school!
I love my happy Charlie!

This is sweet Lexi. She's Jackson's sister. We carpooled with her all year, too. She and Charlie are best buddies.
What a pair of cuties!
Let the end of year program begin! (Psst. Charlie. We're over here! And, please get your finger out of your nose.)
Charlie, it's not that bad. Really. It'll be over soon!
You might want to take your hand off of your mouth. It'll make singing a wee bit easier.
Hey! We're doing choreography! That's my boy!
Oh, no. Now we're doing our grumpy face. Oy vey.
Oh, man. The hand is back down the pants. I really thought we were past that!

And now we're stunned into silence. Oh, well. Charlie's cute regardless!

This is Charlie with Mrs. Jacobson. I will miss her so much. She is the sweetest, most caring and loving person I know. I adore her! And so did Charlie.
